The EAT was established in 1974.
The first European Congress on Thermology occurred in Amsterdam, by the year of 1974. The presentations focused essentially on breast diseases and other medical applications, thermology as an outcome measure and liquid crystal applications.
The congresses were repeated every four years at first and then started to happen each three years, with a progressively enlarged range of study fields that include industrial applications, veterinary science, botany, image processing and equipment, amongst others. The Last congress was hosted in Madrid, Spain in 2015. The congress editions travelled across many European countries, with more than 1000 presentations in total.
The purpose of the International Conference on Thermology is to bring together researchers and practitioners from all fields of engineering, physics, medicine, interested in shearing with other professionals experiences and knowledge.
